I saw the first monarch here today (March 20th, gnolia, TX). It didn't seem to be doing anything in particular, just sailing along in an easterly direction. It did not appear fresh, so I assume it was a migrant.

There were a few today (March 24th) as well, also migrants. One took a pass over my milkweed patch, but I never saw it stop to oviposit.
