Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/20/2005

Number: 1

Yesterday was rainy, damp and
coolish, so I didn't get out. I doubt if the Painted
Ladies were migrating in the rain. This morning was
bright and sunny with a mild wind. From 10 A.M.
to 10:10 I performed a count, and I counted 71
Painted Ladies going over. It confirmed my initial
guess of 6/7 per minute. The numbers are no where
near those of the 15th, but they are steady. Perhaps
it will pick up as the day warms.
