This afternoon, at about 3:30 p.m., I found a meadowlark in the DeLaurier Trail parking lot that looked like a strong candidate for Western. Unfortunately, it did not vocalize, so I can't say for sure that it was a Western, but hopefully it will hang around for someone else to find tomorrow. In any case, my first meadowlark of the year, long overdue.
