Our tulips are short. Last year our tulip stalks were approximately 12 inches high before the blooms came out. This year they are only between 4 and 8 inches. Our daytime temps have been in the 50's, but night time temps are in the 30's still. That is about 5 degrees cooler than normal and we are severely behind in our rainfall. This may explain the short tulips.
