The first earthworm, an immature one because you couldn't see the wide band, was on the sidewalk outside the school after a Monday night meeting. It was drizzly and cold so we put it in a container with some wet grass because we were afraid it would freeze to death that night! Luckily we were studying the Phylum Annelida at the time so it became the class pet until it warmed up on Wednesday!
