Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/26/2005

Number: 1

In Covina today it is sunny, warm with blue skies. Outside, there is a constant stream of Painted Ladies, the most I've seen yet at any given time. From 12:15 to 12:25 I counted (with great difficulity) in excess of 1000 going over, and I know that I missed some due to the quantities involved. As usual, they were all heading Northwest, some in "clouds" of ten or more. And here I thought that the quantity observed on the 15th was the mass group!
