SECOND REPORT: Maybe this migration group consists of a variety other than Painted Ladies. None have landed, but several went by fairly close to me, and I noted that they have a large amount of yellow on their wings. I called the wife out without giving my opinion, and she came to the same conclusion; much more yellow on the wings than the Painted Ladies. Maybe some other reporters may note this as well. I do not know this variety of butterfly, but the quantities going by are just phenomenal! It is difficult to understand how a completely different variety would fly down the same identical path as that of the Painted Ladies. Can anyone shed some light on this variety of butterfly?
