High's near 50 degrees today, and plenty of sun to melt off the remaining ice and snow. Spotted several male red-winged blackbirds on the feeders along with a mass of starlings (almost missed them until I caught a wing flash, and then heard their call.) Later in the day I walked back to the marsh and easily counted a dozen males (and heard many more) claiming territories.
