How nice to wake up to the sound of an entire orchestra of birds singing again! A pair of trumpeter swans flew low over the house this morning - what a sight.

Most the trees and shrubs have buds on them. The dogwoods are bright red, and the willows (like the goldfinches) become more yellow every day. Even the old oak in the front yard, that holds its leaves until the new buds push them off, has started to drop leaves (nothing quite like raking year round!)
