I saw my first ruby-throated hummingbird - a male - late this afternoon, vigorously visiting the flowers on the Carolina Jessamine outside my study window! Fortunately, there are lots of flowers open, so he was able to get a good drink. I put my feeders out shortly thereafter and the Coral Honeysuckle should be flowering soon, as well.
