I saw a very pale monarch on March 29, 2005. It appeared to be looking for milkweed, since it landed on every sprig of new growth as it flew across a recently cleared lot, about 5 miles south of Woodville, Florida. This is the first one that I have seen this year. Last year I did not have any monarchs lay eggs at my home, the first time in 5 years that this has occurred.
