Started noticing Monarch Butterflies passing over San Francisco State University at around 1PM today. Heading due north. Easily 20 or 30 butterflies per minute
were passing by. Not stopping much. SFSU is due south of Stern Grove, a larger grove of Eucalyptus trees said to be a stopping place for Monarchs. Not sure if these were stopping there or not. Beautiful sight. Very warm today. Totally clear skies yesterday and today until the sky became covered with expaning contrails.
