Our tulips have emerged. Many of our control tulips have emerged and only a few of our experimental tulips have emerged. The experimental tulips were planted sideways or upside down. It has been warm (50's) with some recent rainfall. The soil is mostly moist but parts of it are sandy and dry. Tulips have not grown in the sandy dry areas yet. The plants are yellow and red. We wonder when the leaves will turn green. Our gardens had been covered with leaves and snow so we didn't notice that they had begun to emerge. Some of them were 10cm tall when we uncovered them and others had just begun to come up. We are still waiting for others (like Ryan's).
