Bald Eagle

Date: 03/31/2005

Number: 1

This is the third year that a nesting pair of bald eagles has been confirmed on the reservoir in Scituate. Eagles are rare in RI, especially a nesting pair. I had the opportunity to view through a high power scope and watch the female land in the nest with a fish and eat/feed her eaglets! They were too low in the nest, but reports are that there were two eggs hatched only 8 days ago!
