Waves of butterflies flew from the east through Oakdale yesterday.They started about 1:00PM and still were passing through our area late evening. Today we have seen a few starting at 11:00 AM. I was informed that they were seen in Modesto also 13 miles soutwest of Oakdale. I must say I was like a little child watching the butterflies. I haven't seen anything like this since I was a child.
