I heard my first robin song, yesterday and he's outside singing this morning! (4/4/05)
A huge wave of robins flew in yesterday morning, following heavy rains and a strong south wind. They were in the meadow in large group of 50-100, in a patch of bare ground surround by the remaining snow. The air was filled with birdsong of juncos as well as the many versions of robin alarm calls. It finally FEELS like spring!
