Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/01/2005

Number: 1

I don't teach or any thing like that but I do live where the Monarch Butterflys feed on Milkweed.
My husband and I are retired and on April 1st of 05 we sat and watched all day as the Monarch's flew steadly North!!! It was just delightful. Today at about 7am they started fluttering North again.
My sons used to bring them home and hatch them on a stick. the Calavares River flows through the levee we live near.
I'm curious as to how long the flights will go on. There certainly were thousands of them.
I also would like to ask someone from around here about them. Delta college or UOP or some group of watchers.
