Yesterday, April 2nd, while at the height of the snow/sleet/rain storm, a
male Yellow-rumped Warbler appeared on the porch of friends of ours just
outside Frontenac Park on Canoe Lake Road. It appeared to be scavenging
fragments of suet fallen from their nearly empty suet feeder. My first
warbler of the year and one not looked for considering the conditions.
At the same location today (April 3rd) a flock of about 80 snow geese flew
over in the rain. They were heading east-north-east.
