Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/03/2005

Number: 1

My first definite and confirmable Monarch sighting in Wimberley this
year, 4 to 4:10 pm, April 3, in the grassy bottomland of Cypress Creek
below 300 River Road.

Observed the insect visiting different flowers and briefly flirting with
a cloudless Sulphur. Its plumage was distinctly dull and faded but not
ragged.
