Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/05/2005

Number: 1

I saw my first Monarch of the season. He was alone and struggling with the high winds. He was headed north and stopped to rest in our ash tree. I hope they make a good recovery this year! They didn't come through in great numbers last fall. Development is booming in this latitude. It's pushing north of Dallas at a rapid rate. I hate to see the pasture land disappearing.
