We were in a vehicle going to a meeting at Cordillera Ranch when we
spotted the monarch flying in front of us in a westerly direction. I
could not tell whether it had over wintered or was fresh.
The day was bright and sunny and slightly breezy . The butterfly
continued flying westerly and did not pause to nectar.
