Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/09/2005

Number: 1

This evening we had 2 monarchs come in to roost in the oak trees in the backyard. These are the same trees they use in the fall. They also stopped on the dead stalks of the frost weed that they nectar on in the fall. In the trees they rested with their wings open to the western setting sun.
