Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/14/2005

Number: 1

The arrival of 10 beautiful tulip blossoms greeted us back from Spring Vacation. Our 1st tulip blossomed on 3/18 Hazaa! Over the course of this project we have been recording daily above and below surface temps. in our garden. The avg. above and below temps. for January were 53.7 and 45.0 degrees Fahrenheit; February 54.5 and 41.8 degrees Fahrenheit; March 63.2 and 51.5 degrees Fahrenheit. By correlating side-by-side, real-time, video projections of satellite views of North American weather patterns through the CIMSS Regional Assimilation System (CRAS) and the J.N. U.S. Tulip Study Map, we’ve developed numerical temperature prediction models for our J.N. Garden.
