I first saw a juvenile bald eagle along a city street 2 weeks ago. That was exciting enough. Then I saw a nest the next week on an island in a city lake (Brooklyn Center, Mn). This past Thursday I saw both parents at the nest. Now, Mom is setting, and Dad is guarding the nest site. They are beautiful, and it is so thrilling to watch them (from across the lake with binoculars). I am surprised they are nesting so close to the city.
