I just completed a quick survey at Choctaw Trails in southwest Jackson, MS (April 18, 05) and found 29 eggs and 6 1st and 2nd instar larvae on Asclepias viridis. This survey involved about 150 plants; much of the milkweed is in the floral bud stage and the tallest individuals are about 10 inches.
