Numerous students came to school today and reported that the Monarch Butterflies have arrived here in Broomfield, Colorado. One of our teachers noted that the monarchs were so prevalent that they were hitting her windshield as she was driving this weekend. Several students noted that some of the monarchs they spotted had wing damage such as tears and rips on their wings making them appear to be at Stage 4. Some of the other students noted that some of the monarchs were at Stage Two with a bit of fading on their wings. Other students noted that some of the monarchs appeared to be new monarchs with no damage or fading on their wings.
