The ice went out on Mirror Lake just two days ago and already the open water has attracted a northbound COMMON LOON. This evening the loon was observed diving/feeding in the middle of the open lake. It was quite a lovely scene to behold with the aspenglow-lit, snow-capped peaks as a backdrop.
