The feeder has been up for four or five days, in anticipation. On this bright, chilly (34F) morning, the shadow of a hovering hummingbird drew my attention from my morning coffee...and there, on the feeder, was the first ruby-throated hummingbird we've seen this season. We hope the food in the feeder wasn't frozen because she didn't stay long and hasn't returned.
