Robins returned early to this sub-boreal plateau where Prince George is located. They ranged about the city in flocks. April 11 was the first I heard singing on territory. We have had unseasonally warm weather, some days reaching 25 Celcius (77 F).
As of April 26 there is a great deal of singing and hunting of nesting material. It is usually the second week in May that the leaves on deciduos trees are out. This year they are opening at the end of April.
