I pulled over to look for eggs or larvae and stopped just north of El Dorado where there were more plants than in other stretches. Heaviest between El Dorado and Cristoval. The first thing I saw was an adult monarch nectaring on Englemann's daisy, but it wouldn't let me get close enough to identify the sex. I didn't see any ovipositing. I checked 5 plants for a total of about 36 stems, but saw no eggs, larvae, or chew marks.
