May 7, 2005 a very faded monarch traveling close to the ground. I had been
walking for 4 hours so I didn't get up to or think to check for sex, but the
behavior suggested a female looking for milkweed. We had not seen many
butterflies and it was around 12:30 and about 66 degrees.
