Our first milkweed shoots have been up since the end
of April!
Also, I saw a monarch then (approx April 28), although I cannot quite
figure it out, and I think she must have been lost.
She looked very old and laid 29 eggs on the 1 inch
shoot of milkweed that was up in my garden. The eggs
didn't hatch. Any ideas on what that was all about?
I wondered if she didn't make it all the way south to
Mexico for the winter and then flew too far north too
soon.
