was outside mowing my lawn and saw what looked like a
monarch nectaring on a dandelion. The only way I
could be sure of what it is, would be to catch it,
which would pose so much risk to it I wouldn't even
try. I hesitated to make a report because of that. I
have spent a lot of time outside today & yesterday and
have not seen anything like it on either day.
I cultivate milkweed wherever possible (I own 20 acres
out in the country) carefully mowing the lawn around
it and spreading seeds into promising locations, but
so far this year I have only 5 plants coming up that
I've been able to find, all on the east side of my
house, protected from the unusually chilly weather
we've been having.
You are absolutely right, I could be mistaken.
