Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/28/2005

Number: 1

It was a bit windy last Saturday out of the southeast. We live on the
north shore of Lake Huron so that is often the case. It was partly cloudy.
The monarch was feverishly looking for nectar , or milkweeds. The milkweeds
are just leafing out so it was able to find them it seemed. It landed on
late blooming daffodils also. I will keep checking for eggs. The last
couple of years I have not had many monarchs. I do have a properous
milkweed field that I guard with my life!
