Checked over 100 common milkweed plants in a privately owned Wildlife Garden about four miles southwest of the Lourdes College Sylvania Campus and found four eggs. Checked the leaves of three types of milkweed in the Lourdes Wildlife Garden and did not find any eggs. The same was true of 50 plus plants in a Prairie Garden on Campus. However, females were observed just a mile away from the garden area where the four eggs were found. With each day that passes since our first report from a field in Whitehouse, Ohio, we are now finding eggs much closer to our Lourdes Life Lab location.
