Normally, by this time I would not take special note of a monarch sighting. But the one I saw today was only the fourth I have seen this season. Plus, I am not seeing other entries from the Chicago area on the journey north site. This one was floating over the milkweeds on the shore of the Northwestern University lagoon. It looped back and forth over a 50-yard stretch several times before finally setting down.
