Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/06/2005

Number: 1

My son spotted it first in our back yard and shouted to my daughter and I in the house. We hurried out to the back yard and saw a beautiful monarch flying in the neighbors yard. A bit later I saw two on them fly past a front window of the house. It was a warm sunny day today, "Butterfly Weather", so I am not surprized that they arrived. We have had very little sunshine in the last weeks. On Tuesday, May 31st it was warm and sunny, and I may have seen 2 monarchs that day, but I couldn't confirm either one! We are so glad that they are back and we will be loking for eggs and larva!
