I teach outdoor education in Waterloo and
this past week I had
one male and one female Monarch (Tuesday, June 21, I
think).
Both were quite
fresh.
On the 12th of June I had a fresh female (my
first Monarch of the
year) also in the northwest side of Waterloo. She
appeared to be
searching for host plants with her behaviours. The
milkweed here has
flower buds, but no blooms yet. I usually have them
blooming in a week
at my centre.
