Monarchs in southern Ontario seem to be in short
supply. Dean Ware, noted birdwatcher from Essex County (extreme south-western Ontario near Point Pelee notes he has only seen 5 monarchs in the entire county in
May - June 2005. Upcoming butterfly count totals
should be revealing.
