Finally saw my first Monarch of the season. It
was seen about 1 km.
east of County Rd. 19 along Little Long Lake Rd.
which just south of
Frontenac P.P. Saw two others along the Cataraqui
Trail (old railway line)
where the trail crosses Herm Johnson Rd. near Perth
Road Village. I'm not
seeing a lot of Common Milkweed this year or any
blooming wildflowers. Got
26 species yesterday but nothing in great numbers
except for the thousands
of European Skippers.
