Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 07/23/2005

Number: 1

While sitting in our back yard, Steven caught sight of a tiny bird. It came into view approximately 10 ft. away from us. It appeared to be distraught at our presence. It made a sort of vocal sound and landed in tne pine tree where it sat for a good 5 min. or more. We were able to observe it easily, being no more than 2", mostly black, with an distinct red throat, which appeared to come and go as the bird turned its head. Steven and I were and remain very excited at this rare sighting, as neither one of us have ever seen such a darling little thing!
