First monarch sighting of year! Beautiful fresh female posed for close observatiohn, then flew back to milkweed patch where she flitted from one plant to another for at least 20 minutes, possibly layng eggs. As the milkweed blossoms had already faded she could not have been nectaring and she was not close enough for me to see whether she was ovipositing.
