Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 08/25/2005

Number: 1

More monarchs floating in around dusk tonight. Overcast but warm and humid. Counted 12 over a short 3 minute period landing on plants. A few others I flushed out of various trees, (white pine, oak, and cypress). Most interesting to me were the two I spotted roosting together high up in a young oak....mating.
