Last sighting of our male hummingbirds was approximately 8/25/05 - just seeing the females and juveniles around the feeders.

We've been hearing baby squirrels in the trees for several weeks now - this afternoon was the first time we saw little faces peeking out at us.

First large formations of geese sighted in flight this afternoon.

6 trumpeter swans sighted together on the shore of a small lake between Hassan and St. Michael this afteroon, and 4 along the Mississippi River bank between Elk River and Ostego early this evening.
