Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 08/19/2005

Number: 1

During the 19th Monarchs and Migrants Weekend at Presqu'ile Provincial Park, a steady stream of single monarchs flowed westerwardly through the peninsula. I am told that out on High Bluff Island, hundreds of monarchs were congregating on the thistles there (the farthest point of land out in the lake, with some returning to the mainland and others crossing the lake).
