Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/03/2005

Number: 1

After seeing an increase in numbers of monarchs this past week, today they are no longer meandering about. There is a definite southward movement. In a two mile drive, I saw 9 monarchs flying about 5 feet above the ground all heading south. Today is a gorgeously sunny, with a low this morning in the 50's. Winds are ESE at 6 miles per hour, the temperature now is 67.
