This morning (7:30 a.m.) while placing fresh food at the feeding station for Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and any late Baltimore Orioles, I observed approximately 50 Monarch butterflies roosting in a stand of north facing trees that are adjacent to a prairie garden. It was Partly Cloudy, 74F with winds south at 10 mph.
