Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/14/2005

Number: 1

I noticed many Monarchs traveling north to south as I drove east to west across Lincoln this afternoon. When I returned home around 6 PM, I looked in the common ground behind our house and saw roosts of as many as 30 individuals on one branch. The total in the common ground area was probably a couple of hundred spread over many trees.
