Yesterday several hundred Monarchs roosted at my flower farm, Frozen Creek Floral Farm, in Belmont MI my. My nectar flowers were loaded with them. We place cut orange slices out and passion Fruit Gatorade in champagne cups out as extra nutrition what a sight. They stayed over a day. Winds were high that day from the SW.
I am a breeder of Monarch's they roosted on the flyway habit that my stock is in. Talking to their cousins no doubt. My genetic stock is from MN and FL.
My release date on my butterflies is the third Saturday of Sept. At Fallsburg Fall Festival in Lowell
This happens at my farm every year. That started me in the breeding for release of Monarchs as well as stock for cycle of life program for schools.
