Our caterpillars are eating up all the mildweed leaves. We are very dry here, since no rain has fallen this month. We observed fewer caterpillars on the milkweed plants. We talked about what might have happened. We decided that some got squashed by feet, picked up by nosy people or went to make a chrysalis. We tried to look and see if we could find any. We couldn't and decided they would blend in with the bushes. We are going to try to look each time we come to the butterfly garden.
